Randy Schekman: We want the WLA Prize to be truly broadly representative of the international scientific community

Date Oct. 27, 2022

What’s so special about the WLA Prize? In an interview in early September, Prof. Randy Schekman, Chairman of the WLA Prize Selection Committee, talked about the goal of the WLA Prize. He hopes that, the WLA prize could find out those who have done enormously important work but have not yet been recognized for their work. It could become even broader to identify young women and people from other countries who have made significant discoveries. “We want this to be truly broadly representative of the international scientific community,” he noted.
